More than 60 threatened journalists took part in our workshops in Mexico and Guatemala! This training session enabled reporters to familiarize themselves with the SafeBox Network and back up their sensitive information with us.
During these workshops, the International Women’s Media Foundation trained journalists on safety issues and gave them practical tactics to improve their situational awareness, self-defense and first-aid skills.
After this workshop, we welcomed 33 new members including 9 media outlets, whose information will now be protected by the SafeBox Network. We will pursue their investigations if they are prevented from doing so.

“Our commitment to pursue any investigation filed in the SafeBox is first and foremost to protect journalists by deterring those who wish to silence them.” Edouard Perrin, Forbidden Stories’ General Secretary.
